Two "Senior Matrons" appointed

Two new "Senior Matrons" were appointed last week to assist the Deputy director of nursing with his role. We will have to wait until next week before we find out exactly how two new "Senior Matrons" are going to tackle the shortage of front line nursing staff.

A question put to us several times since the story broke last Friday is "how can the trust justify creating two senior Matrons positions when they are cutting front line staff" and "Who now will be covering the positions left vacant"?
